New Hope Mililani belongs to the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.

The term "Foursquare" is used in the Bible. It is often referred to as a symbol of stability,

balance and solidity. In the book of Revelations, the concept "foursquare" portrays a visual

image of the holy city being equal in length, width and height--this image reflects our

doctrine, ministry and spirit here at New Hope Mililani. In relationship to the body of Christ

we consider ourselves "middle of the road"- balanced and practical.

The Foursquare Gospel presents a simple but powerful four-point statement of Jesus Christ

as our Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer and Coming King. It was during the

early 1900's that this straightforward and clear communication of the Foursquare Gospel

embraced the hearts and brought clarity to the minds of many Christians. Since then, the

International Church of the Foursquare Gospel has grown into a worldwide denomination

proclaiming the truth of Jesus Christ to every corner of the earth.

    Core Values

        I.    The Nexus (Connection)

              WE BELIEVE that God desires a loving, intimate, and

              personal relationship with every person and that His

              Church should reflect that love to others.

        II.   Spiritual Transformation

              WE BELIEVE that only through the Spirit of Christ

              working powerfully in us can we be Spiritually

              transformed individually and as a society.

        III.  Family Matters

              WE BELIEVE that family matters and that healthy

              families are very significant to Spiritual Transformation

        IV.  Leadership Development

              WE BELIEVE in identifying and training emerging

              leaders who are fully committed to Christ and who will

              reach their generation with the Gospel.

         V.  Doing Church as a Team

              WE BELIEVE that "doing church as a team" is God's

              design for effective ministry.

        VI.  Anchored to God's Word

              WE BELIEVE that every believer must live his or her

              life anchored to God's word.

        VII. Led by His Spirit

              WE BELIEVE that the Spirit of Christ abides in His

              Church and is actively and personally involved in the

              building of His Church. Therfore, it is critical for

              Church leaders especially to maintain "nexus intimacy"

              with the Holy Spirit in order to hear His voice for every

    `         aspect of Church life and ministry.

        VIII. Church Without Walls

               WE BELIEVE that God's vision for us is that we be a

              "Church with no walls" sharing Christ with loving

               boldness wherever we are.
